As a stay at home mom, leggings have become a staple in my wardrobe. But finding a good pair and learning how to master the comfy but put together look has been a journey…that I’m still on! But as always, I am happy to share what I have learned and found. You can see these outfits in action here.
Let's Start With the Leggings
Got To Find A Staple Pair of Leggings
So you got to find a good pair of leggings! I’ve tried many and my ultimate favs are from Fabletics. One of my favorite bloggers, @daniaustin posted about Fabletics, and I decided to give them a try. I found the Oasis High-Waisted 7/8 Leggings on my first order and instantly loved them. They fit so well, weren’t thin nor too thick, had pockets, and were the perfect length for my short legs (I’m 5’3″). They became my go-to’s for everyday wear and for workouts. I wear a size Large (usually a size 12/14)
For more affordable options, I have found some hidden gems at Sams Club (total hit or miss sometimes) and Amazon has a pair that are comfortable but have no pockets and are longer. I use these for tights under dresses and skirts during fall/winter. I wear a size Large (12/14)

First Outfit
Peplum Top
For this first outfit, I decided to grab this taupe peplum top (similar linked). It’s loose and flowy and let’s be real – hides the mom pooch – so I’m very comfortable and feel confident in it. I’m in a size Large.
I added some gold loop earrings and a gold paperclip chain necklace from Target.
I threw on a ball cap for the ultimate casual look. This one is from our trip to the Grand Canyon but these are a 3 pack of hats with cute neutral colors.
For shoes, these Memory Foam Sneakers by A New Day are a go-to of mine. They are so comfortable, I wore them most of my pregnancies. I wear size 7.5 (sometimes 7.5 sometimes 8)
I have my apple watch on with these bands.

Second Outfit
Long Flowy Tunic
You could actually very easily dress this up or down. This Olive Tunic is very soft and cozy. It can be worn off the shoulder as well. I’m wearing a size XL.
I have the same jewelry on from the previous outfit.
For shoes, I would pair with ankle booties like the Madden Girl Dafni Bootie.

Third Outfit - Two Ways
Long Sleeve Top and Plaid Button Up
I started with this ribbed long sleeve t-shirt and added this black and white plaid button-up. The button-up is no longer available but I linked one similar! You can wear it or tie around the waist. I like both looks!
I have the same jewelry on from the previous outfit.
For shoes, I would wear sneakers like the last two outfits. Even running sneakers would go with this look! The Adidas Cloud Foam Pure Running Shoe is my favorite right now. Very comfortable for every day and exercising.
I hope this sparks some outfit inspiration!

The third is my FAVE! I love a good pair of black leggings 😍
Black leggings are definitely a staple!
