The holidays are literally around the corner. Can you believe it? Christmas shopping is in full swing especially with all of these Black Friday deals! I put together some gift ideas for toddler boys that my boys have been loving (or wanting). I hope this helps you for any little ones you are shopping for.
For the Car Enthusiast
My three year old is obsessed with cars and these are all ones he loves:
VTech Monster Truck Rally: this easily comes apart which makes it great for littles to do themselves!
VTech Smart Wheels Vehicles (Lights & Sounds): the boys have these at my parents house and play with these quite a bit. When Luke (my now 1 year old) was younger, he liked the lights and sounds too.
Maxx Action Fire & Rescue Vehicles (Lights & Sounds): the boys loves the noises and lights on these.
Small Race Track: for older toddlers – it had small pieces but great for motor skills. My three year old absolutely loves playing with this.
B. Toys Pull Back Cars: both of my boys love these ones! Great for little hands and for crawlers to chase after.
Transformers Rescue Bot Team: these are a new favorite! Very easy for my three year old to transform them.
For The superhero
Superhero Capes (36 months-12 years recommended ages)
For the Builder
Infantino Balls, Blocks, and Buddies: Both of my boys love these. We stack the blocks and they knock it over, they roll the balls (and when Luke crawled, he would chase after them), and Luke used the buddies as teethers.
Magna Tiles: James loves to build garages for his cars with these. We will also make cubes and the boys like destroying them. The options are endless with these!
Fix it! Tool Kit: The boys play with this constantly at my parent’s house. They “fix” the couch, the dining room table, and help Papa when he is doing projects.
Spike The Fine Motor Hedgehog: I just purchased this for my one year old. He has very few things he likes to play with, he’d rather play with the trash can or remotes but I got this off a recommendation from a friend who said it occupies her little one who is the same way as Luke.
For the Book Nerd
These books are well-loved in this house:
Chicka Chika Boom Boom (a classic!)
Little Blue Truck’s Christmas: James loves these books! You can see the whole series here.
Canvas Flip Chair: Don’t forget about a cozy place to read those books! The kids got this for their birthday and they love it. This one opens up also and can lay flat. They play on it, read on it, stand on it to look out the window, it’s perfect for them!
Learning Ideas
These books are well-loved in this house:
KiwiCo Box: my boys love getting these boxes. The boxes are based on age and the STEAM learning. Super easy to follow and each box shows several ways to use it! And it comes with all the items needed.
Homer Subscription: This has helped James learn his Alphabet, sounds, and he started talking a lot more & clearer when he started this. We call it his “abc game”.It’s fun and educational – win-win!
Puzzles: ABCs and 123s, 3 piece wood puzzle, self correcting letter puzzles
Daily Magnetic Calendar: grabbing this for James (three year old) to work on days of the week and months.
For the Outdoors
The great outdoors – if my kids could live outside, they probably would!
Little Tikes Ride-On Truck: The boys got this for their birthday and absolutely love it. Also grab the Little Tikes Gas Pump and your kids will be entertained all day. James (my three year old) likes to “run out of gas” constantly so this is perfect to fill up!
Bubble Machine: The boys love bubbles and this was a recent purchase after our other one broke. So far, so good! And don’t forget enough bubbles to last you for awhile with this set of 2 bubble refills
Step2 Water Table: The boys loved playing with this all summer long! This one has several features too.
Step2 Play and Store Sand Box: Sand Castles, bridges, you name it – kids love building and playing in the sand. This is a great option for another outside toy for the kids to play with! And this one has a lid to keep animals and rain out.
For the Indoors
These other items are great for toddlers to learn and play with inside.
VTech Activity Desk: We purchased this for my three year old cousin and she loves it! There are a lot of great learning features with this.
Step2 Kitchen: The boys love playing with this. They “make me lunch” almost everyday. We have shopping carts for them as well. I love these shopping carts because you can scan the items and it tells them what it is.
For the Crawler
Skip Hop Explore & More Follow-Bee Crawl Toy: Luke (now 1 year old) loved this around 5-6 months and on. He would crawl after it! It makes sounds and had flashing lights.
B. Toys Pull Back Cars: both of my boys love these ones! Great for little hands and for crawlers to chase after.
Infantino Balls, Blocks, and Buddies: Both of my boys love these. We stack the blocks and they knock it over, they roll the balls (and when Luke crawled, he would chase after them), and Luke used the buddies as teethers.
LeapFrog Fridge Phonics: this is a good gift for hearing alphabet sounds and motor skills to put the letters into the apple. This also comes with three tiles you can personalize!
Clothes
While kids usually aren’t excited about receiving clothes, parents are! These are great options:
Pull On Pants: we have these in almost all colors
Marvel Superhero Onesies (newborn-24 months)
Marvel Superhero Shirts (2T-8): Okay, they might actually be excited about these!
PJ Mask PJs: the kids might also like these ones!
3 pack Crew Neck Long Sleeve Tees
Slipper Socks: we love these! They have gripped bottoms which are great to make sure they don’t slip on the hardwood or tile but they keep their feet warm. I have two pairs for each kid.
Christmas Footie Pjs: I also grabbed several pajamas from Kohls since their sales are so great right now!
I hope this helps spark ideas for shopping ideas for any toddlers on your list! Are there any toys/activities your kids love to play with? Let me know in the comments!
