I had an eye exam this week and my husband told me to go shopping afterwards. This meant being alone for 3 hours. Moms – you know the excitement I felt to get out of the house and not have a little one attached to my hip! Now don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love and adore my boys but this mama was overdue in the “me time” department!
So I grabbed my go-to Starbucks order (Iced Vanilla Latte), went to my eye exam, and then headed into the mall to add a few new things to my wardrobe! My goal was to grab some pieces in colors and styles that I typically wouldn’t go for. I tried on quite a few things and these are what went home with me.
Black & White Floral Dress
First up is this very cute black and white chiffon floral dress. I love that I can dress up or down and it transitions well for seasons.
Mine is black with white flowers but this one is same style, different patterns. There is a black with yellow/red florals and a Black with White Polk-a-Dots.
I’m wearing a size large. $24.99
Ruffle Wrap Dress
When I saw this, I immediately knew I wanted it. Target came through! I love the frills and stripes on this Ruffle Wrap Dress!
I’m wearing a size Large. $24.99
This is no longer available but here are some similar options:
Blush Polka Dot Ruffle Wrap Dress from Zulily $22.99
Lauren Conrad Ruffle Wrap Dress from Kohl’s ($29.59 sale price)
Plus Size Ruffle Wrap Dress from ASOS $40
Short Viscose Dress
I bought this Viscose dress because its something I would not typically grab but thought it was cute and purchased in a size smaller than I could not fit in now. It’s a goal dress for me! This is the Dark Pink one and it comes in other colors and patterns too.
I’m wearing a size Large. $17.99
Cotton T-shirt
There were several great options for some basic tees like this one. I got the black one but there are multiple colors available.
I’m wearing a size Large. $4.99
Love Jersey T-shirt
Here is another great tee! Super comfy with soft material. This is the pink love jersey tee but it also comes in other colors. I have grabbed this one so many times now because its so soft and comfy and the “love” adds just a little something.
I’m wearing a size Large. $4.99
Jersey Top
There were several great options for basic tees. They had a pink striped jersey top in store that I got but here is a similar one with several different color options – plain and striped. I love wearing this with high waisted jeans or shorts!
I’m wearing size Large. $5.99
Round Neck T-shirt
This is another great basic tee. I got this in a medium blue color and they have several colors available as well. Basic Tees are great for throwing under a cardigan, throwing on for a quick look, and are so versatile.
I’m wearing a size Large. $9.99
Light Blue & White Striped V-Neck Blouse
I immediately knew I wanted this blue and white striped blouse. The ties on the sleeves and flowy feel with the blue and white stripes = perfect. You can tuck the front in with white jean shorts or wear flowy with skinny jeans.
I’m wearing a size Medium. $24.99
Crewneck Sandwash T-shirt
I love this staple crewneck tee because you could throw it with a pair of jeans and tennis or dress it up with a blazer and flats. Super versatile!
I got the color “red” but it’s not really red, maybe a darker pink/orange mix but there are several color options.
I’m wearing a size Large. $14.99
Peplum Woven Blouse
Love the color. Love the ties on the back. Love the peplum. Love the high/low. If you didn’t catch on – I love everything about this top!
I cannot find this top online but here are some similar options:
Woven Ruffle Peplum Top from boohoo sale for $11.20 ($28 normally)
Blouson Sleeve Peplum Top from boohoo $16
I’m wearing a size Medium. $19.99
It’s so important to have time alone. As a mom, we can overwhelmed and a little stir crazy. This was so good for my soul and I got some new clothes – I call that a win-win situation!
So what was your favorite piece? Let me know in the comments!
