I have used a bunch of planners in my life and I think I have found the one that I’ll stick with for awhile (maybe forever). And I have my favorite pens, stickers, and other accessories to share with you. You can make your planner as simple or as decorated as you want. You can read how I productively plan for my week ahead on Sundays here. There are so many options to customize it to your specific needs and I think that’s why I love this specific planner so much so lets get to it!
The Happy Planner
I found this a few years back and I’m so glad I did! I love that it is structured but also customizable. There are a few options in size and layout but I love the classic & vertical layout. I had a big planner but it was a hassle to take it with me so the classic is perfect for me. For the vertical layout, I use each section for different things. The first I use for scheduled appointments. The second I use as my to do list. The third I use for bills and anything else I want to note – something my kids did, devotion that spoke to me, anything else I want to keep in there. Its a free for all.
Colored Pens
I’ve tried a handful of pens and these by far are my favorite. The Pilot G-2 Fine Point (0.7mm) Pens are fine, good range of color, fluid. I love color-coding so the variety of colors are great too.
Stickers & Washi Tape
I love The Happy Planner stickers since they fit perfectly in the boxes. I grabbed a washi box from Hobby Lobby that had a variety of colors, patterns, and sizes similar to this washi tape box. You can grab washi tape from any craft store.
Walmart, Michaels, Amazon, JoAnns, Etsy, Target
Here are some of the sticker packs I have used:
Fitness Planner Stickers, Gold Star Quotes, Planner Basics, Productivity, Mom
Extras
My favorite pages are these Note & Graph Sheets and I got these half sheets on my last order as well.
And here are some other accessory packs I’ve used:
Happy Life, 6 month extension pack, Budget & Planning
They have a variety of options so you can find something that fits your need.
Other Planners
While I love The Happy Planner and will probably use it till the end of time, I also really liked the Sol Planner. If you are someone who can time block, its a fantastic planner. It has goal sections for the year & month, it has weekly reflections, a braindump page and top 3 priority page, it is set up so nicely! But as a work from home mom, I struggled with the daily timed section. I never knew when the kids would play nicely, sometimes their schedule would be all over the place so it was practically impossible for me to use it to its full potential. So I decided to go back to The Happy Planner and will be implementing those weekly check ins, goals, and braindumps for sure!
So there you have it – some of my current must have planner accessories. Just remember that you don’t need everything to get started. Even just the planner and some pens are a great start! Don’t think you need everything to get organized. You can slowly add things in as you go!
